There are blade irons, and then there are BLADE irons, and when it comes to blades, one of the most renowned designs comes in the form of the Baby Blade by Miura Golf.
This long-standing design has had revisions over the years, but one thing remains the same: it is the definition of a true club-building masterpiece, and the newest KM-Baby Blade is no different.
As the name implies, Baby Blades are small, and when I say small, I mean small even in the category of blade irons. Compared to the popular Miura MB 101, the baby blade has a 15% smaller address footprint, which helps to enforce the aim small miss small mentality.
It's this smaller shape that also helps to center more mass behind the hitting area to help golfers feel the sensation of a pure strike.
The KM-Baby Blade is leaner, more exacting, and engineered for the golfer who seeks ultimate control and workability. Our goal with the creation of these new KM-Baby Blade irons was to reward commitment and help players realize that they are better ball-strikers than they believed.
Bill Holowaty, COO, Miura Golf.
In what is a first for the Baby Blade design, the new KM version features Miura's Y-Grind sole named after Miura-san's son Yoshitaka - making is a true showcase of merging generations.
The Y-Grind adds radius to the leading edge of the sole geometry to help the club glide through the turf more seamlessly, especially for players with a steeper angle of attack into the ball.
So whether you're looking for the absolute most compact forged blade designed to deliver the most solid strike feel in golf, or are just an appreciator of generational craftsmanship, the Miura KM-Baby Blades deliver.
The KM-Baby Blades will be available for pre-order beginning on October 7th.
