If there was one part of Rory McIlroy's game that stood out at the 2025 Masters, it was his iron play, capped off with a shot on the 15th hole that will be remembered for lifetimes to come.
Now look, I'm not promising that you'll ever be able to hit a sweeping 7-iron draw to within feet on a par-5 during the closing nine of a major to set up an eagle chance leading to an easy birdie—BUT, you can at least try the shot at your local course with the same irons.
Yes, you read that right: TaylorMade is offering, for a very limited time, sets of Rory McIlroy's personal iron model, the RORS PROTO, for custom order.
Evolved from the original TaylorMade P730 blade, the Rors Protos have a thinner top line through the shorter irons (7-8), and also come with the same TW2 groove design as the P7TW, to offer the most control possible under all conditions.
The irons are forged from soft 1025 carbon steel, using a multi-step process to ensure unmatched feel and responsiveness, and finished with a milled horizontal channel along the back muscle of the iron. Not only does the milling detail look cool, but it serves the purpose of helping move mass high and low in the head to produce precision trajectory control - whether you'll be able to control your shots as well as Rory is a whole other subject, but we can't deny that
Last bust not least, will have a milled FORGED engraving on the hosel along with four colored dots beneath the marking to signify each of the four Major Championships.
Availability and Price
The Rors Proto irons will go on pre-sale for a limited time starting today May 1 and run until May 15th. The starting price is $1500, but you have the option to fully customize the set to your specs for an additional cost based on components.
