Phil Mickelson was cruising along on Friday after posting an ugly 79 during the opening round of the PGA Championship. He was 3 under for the day standing in the 12th fairway, four shots from the cut line.
From there, he pushed a wedge into the left greenside bunker, leaving a tricky up-and-down to save his par.
But he pressed the eject button instead.
It took him not one, not two, not three, but four shots to get out of the bunker. He went on to make a quadruple bogey eight. Yikes!
He was 9 over for the tournament after that and speeding towards a missed cut. He also missed the cut at the Masters in April.
