Xander Schauffele Hit a Tee Shot into a Patron’s Merch Bag

AUGUSTA, GA — When you enter the Masters North Shop, you can expect to find anything from polos to dog collars. But on Thursday, one patron nearly went home with a very unique keepsake.

On the par-5 eighth, Xander Schauffele lost his tee shot a bit to the right, scattering the patrons. But when the World No. 10 got up to his golf ball, it was inside a patron’s merchandise bag.

You don’t see that every day—or ever.

After a laugh and taking a drop, Schauffele went on to make a par. Through eight holes, he was 1 under on the day and for the tournament.
