The Memorial Tournament is one of the best weeks of the year. Muirfield Village beats up the best players in the world, we get to celebrate Jack Nicklaus for a few days, and I get to be jealous of all the people enjoying those delicious-looking milkshakes all week. Maybe some day I won’t have to experience those bad boys vicariously.

But anyway, back to golf. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler has walked off the 18th green and shared a handshake with Nicklaus the past two years, and he’s hoping to make it a turkey come Sunday afternoon. But he’ll have to beat a loaded field.
Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Aberg, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Cameron Young, and Patrick Cantlay, just to name a few. We’re in for one hell of a tournament.
Before the action gets underway Thursday morning, let’s go over three players who could win the Memorial Tournament this weekend.

Ludvig Aberg (15/1)

The Swede continues to roll. After a tie for 17th at the Charles Schwab Challenge, Aberg has now finished T-21 or better in his last nine starts, with six of those being top eights. His well-rounded game fits Muirfield Village nicely, and that’s shown over his first two starts at Jack’s Place: T-5 in 2024 and T-16 a year ago. It feels like he’s bound to be close to the lead on Sunday, he just has to close one out.
Si Woo Kim (22/1)

I had Si Woo at THE CJ CUP a few weeks back—I still can’t believe he didn’t win that golf tournament—and I’m going back to him in this spot. Three finishes of T-4 or better in his last five starts, and he’s loved Jack’s Place over the years with five top 20s in his last six starts. He due for a W, and that could very well come Sunday.
Sepp Straka (65/1)

There are a few things that make me nervous about taking Straka. No. 1, everyone and their mother are picking him. And No. 2, he played in the Austrian Open over the weekend and no doubt had to travel more than any other player in the field. On the other hand, he’s found his groove at Muirfield Village: T-45 in 2022, T-16 in 2023, T-5 in 2024, and 3rd in 2025. Plus, 65/1 feels like great value for a player with that kind of course history.
