It officially feels like the PGA TOUR has survived the LIV Golf migration. If you don’t believe me, just look at the television numbers.
On Tuesday, CBS released its 2025 viewership details, and they’re pretty impressive. They were up 17% from last year, 14 of the 19 final rounds saw year-over-year increases, and Paramount+ saw its most-streamed golf season ever.
That’ll do.
With all the talk surrounding a reunification between the TOUR and LIV—which has seemingly been put on the back burner—it feels like we’re at a point where the folks in Ponte Vedra might be comfortable where they are. If people are watching week in and week out, why mess with success?
We’ll see what happens over the offseason, if any other players make the move to the Saudi-backed circuit, but everything that’s happened this year shows the TOUR has regained its footing.
