There are moments during a golf broadcast that remind us that the pros are (sometimes) just like us—mere mortals. The most recent example came via Chris Gotterup at the PGA TOUR’s RBC Heritage, the circuit’s fourth Signature event of the season.
On the 15th, Gotterup was in a tough spot. His ball came to rest right next to a tree, making his stance tricky, and he didn’t have much room to make a swing. He gave it a go anyway, and, well, he missed the golf ball—total whiff.

Credit to Gotterup, he asked for the proof after he signed his scorecard!
But that wasn’t his only highlight from the day. He also hit this tasty stinger that was as good as it gets.
When it was all said and done, Gotterup signed for a 1-under 70, seven shots back of leader Ludvig Aberg.
