Stepping through the gates of Augusta National Golf Club—or Heaven, as I like to call it—is THE dream for all golf-obsessed sickos. If you love golf, you have to find a way to make it to the Masters at some point during your life.
But to be fully transparent, it’s tough.
Augusta National and the Masters host an online lottery every year that awards thousands of lucky individuals with tickets for the following year’s tournament.
For the 2026 Masters, the lottery opens up on June 1, 2025, and runs through June 20. The drawing will happen within weeks of the closing date and winners will be able to pay for their tickets by the end of July. This year, practice round tickets were $100 and tournament day tickets $140.
I’ve entered every lottery since I turned 18 and have yet to win. I just turned 28. So, don’t expect to win the first time around (or 10th, but who’s counting?).
And if you’re thinking, “That’s crazy! I’ll just head over to SeatGeek and grab a couple tickets for Sunday’s final round,” think again. This message comes from the Masters’ website: “As a reminder, Augusta National, Inc. is the only authorized source/seller of Masters® Tickets. The resale of any Masters Ticket is strictly prohibited. Holders of Tickets acquired from third parties, by whatever means, may be excluded from attendance to the Tournament.”
So, please, if you want to get tickets to the world's greatest golf tournament, do it responsibly and enter the lottery.
Good luck!
