Maybe it was just me, but it was a little easier to get outta bed this morning.
The 89th playing of the Masters Tournament kicked off with the Honorary Starters early Thursday as Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and Tom Watson returned to the first tee to get the year’s first major championship underway.
Player celebrated a great drive with his signature leg kick, Nicklaus was happy just getting the tee in the ground, and Watson’s swing looked as buttery as ever.
These three legends leading off at Augusta National is one of my favorite traditions of the week. It’s a great way to keep the legends involved and honor them at the same time. Who knows how many more times we’ll be able to watch these three on the tee, so enjoy it while it lasts.
Now let’s watch some golf.
