Watching golf the week after the Masters is always kinda tough. We just spent four days at the greatest place in the world and we don't want to leave (well, most of were in our living rooms at home the whole time but it felt like we were all there following Rory at the end). In the post-Masters hangover we're all too familiar with, it can be hard to imagine golf played anywhere else—even somewhere as scenic as the RBC Heritage's Harbour Town Golf Links some 150 miles away from Augusta.
However, this week’s field is loaded.
Yes, it’s a signature event—the fifth of eight this season—so that helps. But most of the world’s best are making the trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina—except Rory McIlroy, but I think we can all agree he’s deserved a week off (or 10).
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is returning to defend his title and will be joined by Ludvig Aberg, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa, Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa, Justin Rose, Xander Schauffele, Jordan Spieth, and Justin Thomas, among others.
Let’s take a couple days to recover from the greatest Masters of all time and have a damn week at Harbour Town. Why not?
