You smell that? Pine trees, azaleas, peach ice cream sandwiches. We are so damn close to the Masters. But before we get there, the PGA TOUR concludes its two-week stint in the Lone Star State at TPC San Antonio for the Valero Texas Open.
World No. 5 Ludvig Aberg headlines a pretty stacked field that includes defending champion Akshay Bhatia, Jordan Spieth, Tom Kim, Tommy Fleetwood, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, and Tony Finau. Not a bad appetizer before the year’s first major.
Sunday’s champion will earn $1.71 million of the $9.5 million purse and 500 FedEx Cup points. Plus, if they’re not already invited, they’ll earn a spot on the tee sheet at Augusta National.
If you plan to watch the action this week, here’s everything you need to know for the Valero Texas Open.
