The 2025 PLAYERS is one of the first big tournaments of the PGA TOUR season, and with it came the best shoe collab of the season so far. The fourth installment of FootJoy’s ongoing collaboration with renowned shoe designer Jon Buscemi launches today, this time featuring the Premiere Series Field LX in an elegant rose colorway that pays tribute to Jerry Pate, whose pink shirt (and orange ball) made headlines when he won the first PLAYERS Championship held at TPC Sawgrass in 1982.
The shoe is built on the popular Premiere Series Field LX silhouette ($350), with a buttery soft leather upper, intricate gold detailing, and a standout patent leather mudguard. The meticulous attention to detail aligns with what we’ve seen from the FJ x Buscemi collab in the past, albeit with a more colorful flair this time around.
The shoe is more than just a style piece, though. The beautiful upper is set atop a high-performance golf outsole that blends spiked and spikeless tech to provide a stable platform for every golf shot. The color story continues with blue and red grosgrain taping and a blue-gold sole that complement the nautical vibe of Ponte Vedra Beach and TPC Sawgrass.
Buscemi continues to bring his exquisite taste to the golf course, giving us a shoe that blends performance and style in a way that few others in the game are doing right now. There is no shortage of stellar golf shoes being released these days, but we find ourselves looking forward to each new Buscemi FJ with bated breath. Each iteration has been better than the last, and this year’s subtle pop of color takes the collaboration to new heights.
The shoe is already being spotted on the big stage. Creator Fat Perez was seen wearing them during Wednesday’s Creator Classic and “Cashmere” Keith Mitchell rocked them during his Wednesday practice round at Sawgrass. FootJoy told us to expect ambassadors Will Zalatoris, Cameron Young, Adam Scott, and Billy Horschel to wear them this week, as well.

Also new for this drop is the inclusion of a lifestyle shoe, the Court LE ($250), creating a pairing that FootJoy hopes will “[redefine] luxury performance in golf footwear for today’s modern golfer.”
The shoes aren’t cheap, but if you’ve got the cash, these are sure to become a statement piece that will be part of your golf wardrobe for a long time.
While the on-course option is sold out, these everyday court shoes are equally luxurious, and even more versatile.
