Masters Style Report: The Top 3 Sartorial Storylines This Week

The first major of the year isn’t just about the leaderboard—it's a statement runway for golf fashion. Augusta delivered once again.

Each Masters, we get more than just great golf—we get a glimpse into where the sport is headed from a style perspective. Between bold brand rollouts and carefully curated athlete scripting, Augusta National has quietly become a proving ground for golf fashion. This year, three brands in particular grabbed the mic: Malbon, Adidas, and Nike.

Jason Day & Malbon: The partnership finds its groove.

Over a year into their collaboration, Jason Day and Malbon feel locked in. From a head-to-toe tonal cream look to a mockneck and navy pairing that felt tailored-yet-effortless, Jason’s Augusta scripting was calm, clean, and confident. This wasn’t flash for flash’s sake—it was styling with taste. And it’s clear Malbon is listening. They’re playing the long game here: testing silhouettes, pushing small details, and letting Jason shine as a canvas. This is what curiosity looks like on-course.

Adidas Originals Golf & Ludvig: Timing is everything.

The launch of Adidas Originals Golf could have easily slipped under the radar with this being the busiest week of the golf season. Still, debuting it during Masters week—paired with Ludvig Åberg’s cool composure and strong play—was a genius move. The collection blended retro Adidas DNA with a crisp new vibe, and Ludvig wore it like it was built for him. Trefoil logos, vintage-influenced polos, and shoes that echoed streetwear just enough…this wasn’t just a collection drop, it was a tone-setter.

Nike: A sold-out story in pink.

The “NRG Azalea” collection from Nike didn’t need a huge campaign—it spoke for itself. By the time the weekend hit, styles like the Air Max Plus G and Victory Tour 4 were mostly gone. Rory wore the Victory Tour 4s in clean form, pairing soft pinks and floral prints with his signature classic look. Meanwhile, other Nike athletes rotated through the Infinity Tour 2, delivering a subtle-but-strong visual presence across the field. The takeaway? Nike still has the ability to ignite a moment. And when they time it right, it’s lights out.
