Well this is a (pleasant) surprise. Beloved women's golf brand Fore All announced its first ever pro golf ambassador—Pauline Roussin-Bouchard.
Over the last few weeks, we've peeped that the 24-year-old has been rocking a few jawns from FA. A couple weeks back she was spotted in LA sporting a green and black quarter-zip, and last week at the Chevron championship—where Roussin-Bouchard made her first major cut in almost two years (641 days to be exact).
Roussin-Bouchard is a former top-ranked amateur, she rose to No.1 in 2020, and held her spot for 34 weeks. She also had quite the college career. She played at the University of South Carolina, where she was a two-time All-American and five-time medalist as a Gamecock.
After her time at USC, she'd turn pro and would go on to compete in LPGA Q-School in 2021. She finished second in LPGA Q-Series to earn LPGA Membership for the 2022 season.
As a rookie, Roussin-Bouchard started in 24 events, made 16 cuts and recorded two top-10 finishes. But since, it's been a bit of a struggle for the young French golfer.
She struggled through a sophomore slump, only making nine cuts on the year resulting in her having to go back through the Q-School process to earn her card back. Over the last two seasons, Roussin-Bouchard has primarily played on the LET working on her game and growing her confidence.
A part of that confidence is tied to style, and what a player chooses to rock on the course. There isn't much we know about the details of this new partnership and what the specifics entail. But, we do know how much teaming up with an exciting, new brand can be for a player who is trying to find their groove.
Both Fore All and Roussin-Bouchard have this lively energy, that's youthful and exciting—we hope that will translate on the course. For the brand, this is an incredible way to gain insight on player needs at the highest level. For Roussin-Bouchard, this is an opportunity to create playful looks that are relatable to the fans who, too are probably rocking the same pieces.
We've seen how Malbon and Jason Day have elevated one another. Rhone is getting involved with more athletes being equipped with better apparel—Fore All is joining the wave of singing on player ambassadors and we're here for it.
