Asterisk Talley Goes Method for ANWA Final Round

The Masters and ANWA are basically the MET Gala of golf. Patrons show up in their very best threads to roam the sacred grounds of Augusta National Golf Club. Meanwhile, what the players are kitted out in, really kind of depends on the mood they hope to inspire inside the ropes. Some lean into the springy vibes of "April in Augusta", others keep it classic in their usual feel-good scripting—but leave it to the girls, the beloved members of Gen-Z to pull out all the stops and give us something.

Asterisk Talley, who has been impressing the world with her game, stepped out during Saturday's final round of the Augusta National Women's Amateur in a true homage to azalea country, decked out in green and yellow.

The 16-year-old has been rocking the three stripes since last summer at the U.S. Women's Open (it's unclear if Talley has some sort of NIL deal), but this is by far one of her most memorable looks.

She kept it simple, going with an Augusta-inspired green with her hat, skirt, and matching sambas. Her shirt was painted in yellow and white stylized azaleas—making for a truly on the nose yet chic fit, that may or may not have been the reason she went low (it's not, but we're firm believers in a strong fit makes for a strong on course performance).

En route to a runner-up finish, Talley eagled the first hole with a hole-out from the fairway, made two clutch birdies on 16 and 17 to put pressure on winner Carla Bernat Escubar—and hit an insane 17 out of 18 greens.

Talley's fit was just as impressive as her final round performance, and we are here for it all.

Dressing thematically, especially around this time of year isn't a new concept, but all too often folks miss the mark in trying to mix too many color stories—Talley got it right—stick to something solid, and commit.
