The top-ranked team in collegiate golf continues to prove exactly why they are the best.
Stanford women's golf under coach Anne Walker's leadership is like Nick Saban's University of Alabama football dynasty—the just keep winning. Even when they're not winning, they're putting themselves in the best positions to do so. Not to mention their recruiting classes are consistently strong. Teen sensation and rising star, Asterisk Talley, who is the top-ranked junior in the Class of 2027, committed to The Farm last fall.

All signs point to Stanford being the ones to watch this spring—especially during the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, taking place April 1-4.
For the second year in a row, the entirety of the Stanford lineup is returning to ANWA.
This will be the seventh edition of the coveted event, and senior Megha Ganne has been invited six times. The 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur champion secured her invite last summer at Bandon Dunes.
Along with Ganne, her teammate Meja Örtengren will return for the fourth time in her career. While Paula Martín Sampedro, Andrea Revuelta, and Kelly Xu are back for the third time.
The full field, that features talent from across the world, has not yet been finalized.
The field for the 2026 Championship will consist of the following players based on the following qualifications:
Reigning U.S. Women's Amateur Champion
Reigning Women’s Amateur Champion
Reigning Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific Champion
Reigning Girls' Amateur Champion
Reigning U.S. Girls' Junior Champion
Reigning Girls Junior PGA Champion
Reigning NCAA Division I Women’s Individual Champion
Past champions of the Augusta National Women's Amateur within the last five years
The 30 highest-ranked players from the United States of America, based on the prior year's (2025) final Women's World Amateur Golf Ranking, not otherwise qualified
After qualifications 1-8 above, the 30 highest-ranked players not otherwise qualified, as listed on the prior year's (2025) final Women's World Amateur Ranking
Players receiving special invitations from the Augusta National Women's Amateur Committee.
