Here are the Four Players We'd Pick for the TGL's Motor City Golf Club

On Tuesday, the TGL announced that a new team will be added to the indoor league in 2027, the Motor City Golf Club. It’ll be the seventh team that calls the SoFi Center home. Although we know the team and city, we don’t know any of the players who will be part of the squad.

There are plenty of big names who aren’t part of the league yet, including World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth. However, it feels inevitable that a Texas team will happen at some point and it’s easy to see those two going for that.

So, who will be part of the Motor City GC? Here are our four picks.

Jake Knapp

Shout out Skratch’s Editor-In-Chief, Mr. Ben Boskovick, this is a great pick. Knapp would instantly become one of the fan favorites and it wouldn’t suck to watch his swing on repeat in the SoFi Center. He’s got a great personality and that’ll play in the mic’d-up segments. This feels like a no-brainer.

Jason Day

You’re going to tell me Knapp's and Day’s vibe don’t match perfectly? Maybe that’s what we’ll go for with this squad. Straight vibes. And JDay would probably break out some awesome fits for this, too. I see only upside.

Tony Finau

Vibes, vibes, vibes. This team would be very, very popular with this lineup so far. Plus, Finau has some experience in this arena after serving as a one-match fill-in earlier this year.

Viktor Hovland

Detroit is a hard-working city. They grind. I don’t think anyone grinds harder or tinkers more with their game than Mr. Hovland. Plus, and I’ll say it again, vibes! Look at these four guys. Good times would be had!
