Can you believe it? We're five weeks into TGL already. Last week was electric, the much anticipated Tiger vs. Rory match up didn't disappoint.
Match 4 can officially be crowned a certified banger. But will Week 5 deliver much needed energy and back it up? Well, you gotta tune into Tuesday night's match at 9 p.m. ET and see.
After a stellar opening match for the Boston Common that went down to the wire in the first ever TGL OT, the frogs are keeping their same line-up of McIlroy, Scott, and Bradley to go up against a refreshed LA squad with Tommy Fleetwood opting in alongside Morikawa and Rose. Theegala, the reigning TGL baddie, will sit for LA.
Similar to Week 4, this match up will be close—I think the days of of blowouts are behind us (one can only hope). Players are shaking off the rust and finding their grooves in this new set up.
Much like Åberg, Theegala, and Tom Kim—I feel like Tommy Fleetwood's TGL debut will be electric. He's a golfer that has underrated aura (I think it's the flowy hair).
Can I just say...I've grown attached to the Spear hole. Seeing it each week has been almost as enjoyable as the shot clock. It's the one hole that actually looks and feels like a video game (it oddly reminds me of the game Temple Run and I can't explain why), because it's just so impractical for golf.
ESPN will carry exclusive TGL TV coverage all season long. You can watch Tuesday's match up online via ESPN+, which will provide a live simulcast of ESPN’s coverage beginning at 9p.m. ET.
