A Look at the Future of Colorado Golf

If you wanted to put together a dream team for creating a bucket list golf destination, I’m not sure it gets any better than that. And those fellas have outdone themselves with Rodeo Dunes.

This 4,000-acre property in Eastern Colorado features sand dunes reminiscent of playing along the coast of Ireland. It’s the future of golf in the Centennial State, and will no doubt grow into the next great American golf retreat.

While the public won’t be able to play Coore and Crenshaw’s routing until 2027, we got a look behind the curtain—and we got it all on camera.

On this week’s episode of Adventures in Golf, Erik Anders Lang travels to Rodeo Dunes to become the first person to ever play it—yes, seriously. And to cap it all off, Erik tried his hand at an actual rodeo.
